Poynton Lacrosse 'A' Team ...

The 2025-2026 season saw the A team continue to dominate in the North 1 division enjoying their most successful season winning both the league and the David Beesley Trophy in the cup competition. The team kept a clean sheet throughout the season not dropping a single point.

The team’s success earnt them promotion to the Championship division for the 2026-2027 season bringing a new, tough, challenge to the team. The league restructure means that the season is split into two halves this year with teams playing each other up to Christmas before being split into two mini leagues, the Championship league has a mix of 1st and A teams.

Poynton A team has a perfect mix of experience players and talented youth players. Watch out for some close, very competitive games which can only improve our younger players as they aim to secure a 1st team place. We will be looking for a top of the table finish and challenging for silverware in the Cup competition.

The A team will play Championship League fixtures every Saturday afternoon with a 2pm face off. You can view fixtures and results by clicking on the tab below. Games are played both home and away with all home fixtures being played at Poynton Sports Club on the pitch nearest to London Road.
