Poynton Lacrosse Under 8's & Under 10's ...

Poynton Blackbirds Under 8's and Under 10's teams are home to the youngest players in the club, including many new starters.

We are proud to host weekly sessions for players under the age of 10 for both boys and goals where the focus is on having fun whilst learning the basics of the sport. As well as weekly training sessions players have the opportunity to attend monthly development tournaments where small sided teams play short games in a fun filled tournament environment.

As players gain experience they have the option to progress to a kitted version of the game playing in regular U10 tournaments or to our Junior Girls U13 programme.

Both boys and girls can play kitted lacrosse at U10 wearing helmets, gloves, mouthguards and arm guards. This is a first introduction to a contact version of the game. By the time players reach 10 years of age they will usually be preparing to play regular Saturday fixtures on the Boys U12 team or in the bi-weekly Junior Girls fixtures which are played on a Sunday morning.
